How to Child-Proof your Blinds

Although your living room blinds may seem harmless for kids, they hide dangers that you probably don’t even know. The threat is not in the blinds themselves but in the long cords to open and close them. According to the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission, between 1981-1995, 359 cases of choking hazard to small children were reported.

Companies producing blinds are now working to build up saver products, and they are also improving the communication in their packages. However, there are a few things that parents should know to ensure safety.
